SHOW COOKING
In the most famouse vegetarian restaurant in all Europe, the Margutta" – the engaging cooking show face to face with the guests. The chef will develop the recipe focusing on Natural Excellence by creating an original menu combined with ad hoc wine. The show cooking will involve the kind guests of the evening. Since 1979, the MARGUTTA restaurant-boutique in Rome has focused on ethics, lightness, eco-sustainability, Italian Vegetarian Cuisine, Margutta vegetarian food & art believes that eating is a complex gesture, much broader and deeper, and for this reason, for more than thirty years, it has been developing and promoting an idea of well-being that extends beyond the body to include the mind and the spirit.

FASHION TOUR
The tour will start invia Margutta, "the street of the arts" famous for the "Roma Holiday" movie and Picasso’s studio, among others. The fashion incubator Grazia Marino, CEO of "Spazio Margutta" will guide the group walking to historical fashion ateliers and shops in the heart of Rome. Tour will end up at the studio of the fashion creative designer Zuccarello with a private fashio show. Your will feel transported in that classy and incredible era of "La dolce vita" when the term paparazzi is born.
In fact we will arrive at the studio throu via Veneto, the famour 1950/60 street where all the movie stars where photografed by the paparazzi.
The end of the fashion tour will be enjoying an aperitif on the most classy and in vougue top roof hotel. The view of the sunset on the top of Rome will be impressed on your memory forever.
ROME EXPLORATION
As far as 100 years will not be enough to visit Rome, we will give you a fun tour on a private golf car to see the main "must see" locations. Beside that we have planned very unique experiences and locations to see that will feed your eyes, heart and soul! We will show you little hidden jewels in Rome... are you in the mood for this?

We care alot about this experience in Rome and we are doing our best to make all of you happy. So we are offering few options about accomodation that we know are close to the Maison della Voce. You can pick what fit your needs and your budget. But you can also do your own reserch between Airbnb, Hotels, Pensioni etc. The only thing we highly reccomand is to book it ASAP! Rome is alway super packed and at the same time of our Opificio in May 2023, Rome will host the Italian International Tennis Championships... alot of hotels are already booked.

THIS IS THE VIEW FROM THE MAISON DELLA VOCE WINDOW. THE BASILICA OF SANTA MARIA IN TRASTEVERE OUR LADY IN TRASTEVERE) IS A TITULAR MINOR BASILICA IN THE TRASTEVERE DISTRICT OF ROME, AND ONE OF THE OLDEST CHURCHES OF ROME. THE BASIC FLOOR PLAN AND WALL STRUCTURE OF THE CHURCH DATE BACK TO THE 340S, AND MUCH OF THE STRUCTURE TO 1140-43. THE FIRST SANCTUARY WAS BUILT IN 221 AND 227 BY POPE CALLIXTUS I AND LATER COMPLETED BY POPE JULIUS I. THE CHURCH HAS LARGE AREAS OF IMPORTANT MOSAICS FROM THE LATE 13TH CENTURY BY PIETRO CAVALLINI.

THE BRIDGE WAS DESIGNED BY ARCHITECT ANGELO VESCOVALI AND BUILT BETWEEN 1884 AND 1888; IT WAS DEDICATED TO GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI, "HERO OF TWO WORLDS" AND ONE OF THE FATHERS OF ITALIAN UNIFICATION. THE BRIDGE, ENLARGED IN 1959, WAS RELEASED TO FACILITATE THE EXPANSION OF THE TOWN TOWARDS TRASTEVERE.

Giovanna and Sara start working together in 2002 touring the world one as singer/conductor and the other as singer/tour agent and manager. Them passion for travel, music and bringing people together lead in 2016 when they created the Opificio Voice & Craft. The meaning of Opificio is "a place where artisans gather in a community to create collaboratively". Ferdinando I de’ Medici created one of the early opificios for artisans in stonework. This meaning applied to our Retreats as we work together to collaboratively develop our vocal talents in a supportive, community environment. So far we host the Opificio 5 times in Tuscany. But as you can see in our future calendar, we are going to host Opificio all over Italy.

What is our “Opificio?”
One meaning of opificio is a place where artisans gather in a community to create collaboratively. Ferdinando I de’ Medici created one of the early opificios for artisans in stonework. This meaning is aptly applied to our Retreats as we work together to collaboratively develop our vocal talents in a supportive, community environment.
When should I arrive at the Maison della Voce in Rome?
Our welcome reception begins at 8pm on MAY 12th. Snacks and drinks will be available at the meeting.
Who can attend this retreat?
All ages and singing level are welcome. Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The prices are listed in Euros (€). Can I purchase with my American credit/debit card?
Absolutely! Prices are listed in Euros as we will be booking the hotel locally in Italy, but any credit/debit cards are accepted. Click HERE here to check the Euro / USD current conversion rate.
Do I need to be a professional singer to attend?
Absolutely not! This retreat is about finding your voice. We encourage all levels to attend, even if the only time you sing is in the shower.
What if I want to enroll later, for example, 2 months from now?
Enrollement will stay open until we reach capacity at the Maison della Voce studio. We expect that the retreat will fill quickly. Tuition is discounted for early enrollement and will increase with time.
What if I don't want to attend workshops one day and just visit Italy on my own?
This is YOUR retreat and you may spend it as you wish. Nothing is mandatory except to have fun!
I'm not sure I can make it this year. If I want to attend in 2024 instead of in 2023, will prices remain the same?
We can estimate he price will likely go up for future retreats. We encourage you to book your flights while prices are low.
How much time will be spent in class vs. exploring Rome?
As this is a retreat and not a certification course, we spend only an average of 3 hours/day in class and the rest exploring Italy. Although we will share a great amount of knowledge with you, a major part of your transformation will be experiencing the beauty of Rome, the eternal city.
If I have trouble with stairs, will there by wheelchair accessible access?
Given it's antiquity, Italy has a lot of stairs, uneven walkways and cobblestone streets. We will not be able to guarantee easy wheelchair access for all excursions and recommend bringing a personal aid as we will not able to offer assistance or lifting.
Are all meals included?
Yes, all meals are included. For breakfast what you might imagine in a Hotels: brioche, coffee, prosciutto, eggs, etc. Italian deliciousness!
Is the agenda subject to change?
Sometimes things come up, especially when planning so far in advance. If adjustments have to be made we promise that we will do our best to book equally amazing events.
Price is for a single room accommodations?
You have single an double options. A third bad can be added! So if you are a couple or 2/3 friends and want to share the space, you will get a discount!
Are there any other costs?
You are responsible for your flights, travel insurance (we highly recommend it) and transportation from the airport to the hotel. We can help you arrange that if needed.
How fare is the "Maison della Voce" from the hotels?
We sugesting 2 hotels (3 or 4 stars) that are walking distance from the studio. But you can also purchase the only corse and pick your own accomodation. Airbnb, hotels, or any plattform that is convinient for you.
